Chocolate Hits the Spot

I know I know...this is TERRIBLE! Just let me explain! Bristol was SCREAMING in the car, and in the past she has loved little candy bars in the wrapper because of the crinkle noise that they make. So, I handed one back to her. I was amazed at how good she was for the rest of the ride! Then, we get to our friend's house and lo and behold, she had chocolate EVERYWHERE. No wonder she was so good, she was getting her first tast of chocolate (hopefully her last for a while). I felt bad, but at the same time I had to laugh. She is such a little stink. I guess no more playing with candy bars!

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Since our Christmas card is out...I guess I can finally post the picture. Merry Christmas everyone! I'm sorry I couldn't mail one to all of you, but you are all in our thoughts this Christmas season!

Isn't This Lovely?

I seriously feel like a new woman! My bacground isn't poop brown anymore! It feels soooo good. Granted, I did panick when the background turned white and I couldn't see the post writing anymore, but then I remembered that I needed to change the color of the font. Hahaha! Maybe I'm not so good at this blogging thing!

I Find Out Today!

No, I'm not pregnant, but my Sister Katelyn is! And since she doesn't update her blog, I might as well post it for her. She finds out today what she is having! I totally think it is a boy, but will laugh so hard if it is a girl. I'm really excited for her. She is due April 11th, 6 days before Bristol's original due date! So crazy!

New Background?

Ok, if you have been a long time reader of my blog, you know that for some reason that ugly brown color behind all of my posts is permanently there. I seriously HATE that color! So, when picking new seasonal backgrounds, I have to pick one that will coordinate with the brown.

****IF SOMEONE WOULD LIKE THE PASSWORD TO MY BLOG TO FIX IT...I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. "APPLY" TO DO SO IN A REPLY TO THIS POST!

8 WHOLE MONTHS

I seriously can't believe that Bristol is 8 months old today. And what an eventful day it was! Not only is she older and wiser, but she has a double ear infection. Poor little thing. She must have extremely high pain tolerance because she has been fooling me for a while, and her Doc was in awe at how happy she was! She is such a funny little thing. Still not crawling, but she does wave, and she can scoot backwards on her tummy. Of course she can roll all over the place too. And her favorite time of day is snack time! She loves it!

Recent Happenings

We went on yet another hike somewhere up Logan Canyon, and we ran into this moose! Honestly, I was scared because of the recent story of a moose trying to attack Ty's Dad, but this one hardly noticed we were there. Pretty cool!

A new found "containment" chair. This is the best while mom does her makeup!

Bristol is still not crawling, but she still manages to roll around and find fun things to get into. I caught her pulling out DVDs. This apaprtment is going to be terrible to baby proof. She is so darling though!

Bristol LOVES to stare down my cousin Nick Kennedy. It is so funny! She just stares at him, and he could be doing anything, but she won't look away!

Talent Show and PIE!

What a way to start off the Thanksgiving Holidays. Our Stake had a Talent Show followed by some yummy pie for dessert last night. So much fun! I played a couple of fiddle tunes, a little rusty, but pretty good! Anyway, lots of fun!

Fall Hiking

The fall weather has been pretty decent, and we got this KILLER deal on an REI framed hiking backpack for babykins, so we have been taking some nice trips. It has been perfect!

Yes...Ty + Steph = Bristol!

A completely tuckered baby bear! Hiking is such hard work! She is just the sweetest thing I have ever seen!

All Hallows Eve...What a Bash!

My Grandparents hosted a Halloween party fully put together by Ashley. It was so much fun. The only requirement...we all had to dress up. It was great! We had a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, and treat contest.

Ty and I dressed up in clothes from the early 1900's, Bristol was a pretty pink bunny, Chrissy was M.C. Hammer, Ashley-Amelia Eirheart, Mom-witch, Dad dressed as he always does when we get picked up for our first date, Kate-white trash pregnant mom, Grant-BABY...sick!, Hailey-pirate, and Annie was the entre. What a bunch!

The party was great. Good food, good company, and a great haunted house in the garage...about that. Well, Ashley (If you know Ash, you are already laughing) had a fog machine that she was testing out in our house in the kitchen. Bad idea...the smoke alarm went off. I was napping, the guys were at Cabelas, and my mom just started running around the house in a panic. The phone line was siezed because of the security system, so ADT called my mom's cell phone. She told them not to send the firetruck that we were all ok. Next thing, we hear the sirens coming from the fire station about two city blocks from our house. My mom started crying. So, I ran outside to meet and greet those hefty fire boys ;) adn told them that my mom was too embarrassed and out of her mind to come outside. They all started laughing but had to come in and check everything out anyway. My mom was so embarassed, but they were really nice and got on their way. I guess we will see how nice the bill is?! So, the house was still smoky, so I sent Ash to her room because my mom could hardly talk to any of us. So, we all kinda disappeared in the basement until we heard mom call down "I'm ok now. You can all come back up." What a day, what a day. Nothing is boring when Ashley is around!

Can you Bounce? I can!

Bristol LOVES her bouncer/entertainer! It was a great buy, it frees me up! So, I love it too!

Logan Canyon

I am so behind on posting everything we have been up to! A few weeks ago we took a drive up Logan canyon. It was still pretty warm outside, wo walking around 2nd Dam was perfect! Ty was mad he didn't have his fishing pole because everyone around us were catching a ton, but we still had a good time! We love being outside!

P.S. Bristol did get a little whisker burn from dad...oh the lovely times of beards! Gotta love 'em!

A Bit About Bristol

Please forgive me, she is all I blog about anymore...but how can I not when she consumes my every breath?! So, here is a bit about her personality!
Favorites:
Banannas
Carrotts
Squash
Feet! YES, Feet! Sock/shoes on or off
Sleeping with mom and dad early in the morning
Going for walks
Hearing the song "Isn't She Lovely"
Putting everything in her mouth!
Playing peek a boo with dad
Jumping

Dislikes:
Getting her mouth wiped after eating
Wearing shoes
Getting her toys taken away
Getting strapped into her carseat
Seeing mom, but not being held by mom
Having a wet diaper

It is absolutely amazing to me how fast Bristol changes and how quickly she picks up on things. One day she can't sit up, the next she can! WOW! I feel like I can't blink because I will miss something! She is my favorite!

It's COOOOLD Out There!

Bristol was SCREAMING from being over tired, and not wanting to go to sleep. SO, Ty and I braved the cold weather and took her for a quick walk. We bundled her up to the max and set out! I FROZE! How I'm going to miss my sunny warm days! However, it is beautiful when the leaves change colors and the air is a little crisp!

Cutie Patootie

Our little cutie is getting so good at sitting up on her own! This was last Sunday! Notice the drool all over the front of her dress...her teeth are trying to come in, but they just haven't made it yet!

Boise in August...it's a start.

McCall was awesome! Bristol is quite the beach baby. She absolutely loved being down at the lake and taking rides in the boat. So much fun!

Bristol loves the boat...loves to eat it anyway

First bites! Yummy yummy in my tummy, I love rice cereal? We will see how this turns out.

My Dad, Grant, and Ty went on a fishing trip to Canada. They caught a ton of fish, so the day they got back was spent cutting up fish and sealing it up for some yummy dinners. (More pictures on this later!)

Ashley gets home from India! She was so excited to be home, and we were more than happy to have her back!

Farewell Cali...Hello Logan!

Yes, the time has come for us to drive the 14 hours from Santa Clara, Ca to Logan, Ut.! We are so excited to get back to Utah where all of our friends are, and where we will be closer to a lot of family! The drive is going to be long, Bristol HATES the carseat, but Chrissy flew in to help me drive! Yay! So long!

Boise Again!

Bristol and I headed to Boise again! I think that Bristol has been on enough airplane rides! She is quite the traveler! The occasion was my cousin Scotty and his fiance Sarah's wedding. What a trip! Here are some pictures of the weekend!

Granddad-The-Great getting an early start with "Twinkle Twinkle" on the piano! Bristol was squealing with delight!

Bristol and I in McCall at a "rehearsal" dinner for Scott and Sarah. It was a fiesta with home made tortillas and everything. So good!

Bachelorette Party! Sarah's maid of honor put on a party at Two Rivers Spa in Eagle. The pedicure was absolutely amazing. I didn't think it was going to be so pricey, but hey, what can I do now except enjoy my soft feet and hands, and hot pink nail polish?!

And finally, the event of the year! Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Sarah Erekson! The wedding was held at the Shore Lodge in McCall, Id. It was absolutely beautiful! I have never cried so hard at a wedding before, Scotty is like an older brother to me, so it was so nice to see him so in love. Sarah is an amazing girl and fits so well into our family. My dad conducted the ceremony, and it was very touching. And like he said, it is no coincidence that these two have been preserved, and were able to find each other. They both had brushes with death at a young age, and now here they are! It was a lot of fun!

BUMBO

I kept hearing all of this good info. about the "Bumbo" chair, so I finally broke down and got one for Bristol. She is so spoiled. Anyway, she loves it! She loves being able to sit up on her own and look around, and mom loves it too. Two hands available to do house work! Yay! Bristol is doing so good these days, she is growing like a little weed though! I love my little "Angel Cake" (as Grandpa E. would say)!

Kisses!

SANTA CRUZ

Ty had this Monday off, so of course we wanted to do something fun! Santa Cruz is about 40 minutes from our apartment, so we packed up the car and made a day of it! Kate and Grant came with us too! We had so much fun, and Bristol was an absolute delight! TyRell carried her around all day looking for star fish, sea shells, and anything interesting he could dig up. They are such good buddies. The weather was beautiful. Not too hot, not too chilly either. It was a blast!

We Are Back!

Bristol and I had so much fun in Boise this past week. So much to do! First, we had a great 4th of July celebration. We spent the day in Boise at my Grandparent's, and then the evening watching the fireworks from the boat in McCall. Then we had a great week in McCall, and another weekend in Boise.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

The giant slide my grandparent's rented! So fun!

Bristol's first boat ride and fireworks! She didn't even get scared!

Of course, Bristol decided to roll over for her very first time in Boise. Ty was mad he missed it, but I got it on video and camera. so its all good! She is so funny, she grunts and grunts until she makes it onto her belly, and then she is all smiles!

ALMOST THERE!

I DID IT!

Bristol got a new pool toy! She loves it! Her first time in it at Nana and Grandpa's pool was so much fun. Of course, Huck could not stand her being in the water and had to be as close to her as possible without jumping in himself. And he had to whine at her the whole time. It was so funny. She loves the water though! Atta girl!

After getting back from our trip to Boise and McCall, we drove down to SanFran to see the Golden Gate Bridge and go out to dinner and such. We hadn't seen Ty in a whole week, so it was fun to spend time with eachother! Bristol wasn't having her best of days, so it was kinda stressful, but we made the best of it! It was fun walking around with her...everyone had to stop and take a look at her. She is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

Oakland Zoo and Temple Visit

A couple of weeks ago we headed to the Oakland Zoo on our day off! It was so much fun. I must admit that I was more excited for Bristol to be there, but who would have known that she would have slept the whole time? :) We saw some of my favorite things though! The monkeys, and giraffes. So fun!

Following our trip to the Oakland Zoo, we decided to drive a few more minutes to the Oakland Temple grounds and look around. I had no idea how beautiful the grounds were! It was such a great experience to be there as a whole little family!
