You know how photo shoots go with little kids. It's hard to get a good shot! So here are the best of the best!

Halloween 2012: Part 2 of 3

Bristol has been loving her preschool. She goes twice a week, and I'm sure she would go more. And the best part is that her teacher, Miss Michelle, loves having parties! The day before Halloween they had a class party that all of the mom's and little siblings could attend.

Bristol then had dance class on Halloween, which also calls for a party. These little girls wore their costumes, danced, colored, and had some healthy treats! (Boy was I grateful for that!) Bristol adores her dance teacher, Miss Kim, and her assistant Vanea.

Big T is lucky enough to have some "guy time" with Dad during Bristol's dance classes. Ty works just down the street, and class is at noon aka lunch break! So Big T and dad took off to...buy Bristol a new Cinderella for her pumpkin. Apparently our dog Ruby likes to eat little Cinderella's. But sshhhh, Bristol doesn't quite know exactly what happened.

HALLOWEEN 2012: Part 1 of 3

Holy moly did we have quite the Halloween this year. Party after party, it just kept on coming! In order of occurrence, here it is...in a nutshell.

Grandma and Grandpa always have a big hoopla Halloween party. Costumes for EVERYONE,  treat contests, pumpkin carving contests, etc. If you can have a contest in it, we'll do it. We're kinda competitive that way!

aka
Butterfly, Jessie, Cinderella, Biker Boy

The Erekson Family...plus a couple for appearances!
The Obama's on the left with the classy winners, Romneys, on the right.
Got Milk? couple, Siamese twins,
And the young tooth loosing boy, with his tooth fairy and the two littles
I might just add that I made the most amazing cheese cake cupcakes that took 3rd place, Bristol's pumpkin (pictures to come) as well as Ty's pumpkin won in the carving division, and Tytan, Bristol and I each won a prize in the costume division.
We had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa completely spoil us and sure know how to throw a party!

Trick OR Treat...Mainly just treats

Taking little Bris trick or treating in this particular neighborhood brought back a lot of memories. I used to trick or treat here every year...my parent's neighborhood. It's great. Houses pretty close together, friendly people, and good candy!!! This year Bristol and Jeffrey went in style. It was a great time! Enjoy some pictures of the kiddos in their costumes. We had Rapunzel, Frankenstein, and Nacho Libre!

Trick or Treaters ready for action! (How do you
get a 2 year old to smile for the camera? Geesh!)

Picture perfect!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!

To get things started with our Halloween festivities, my sister Annie came over and made these awesome Monster Mouths. So much fun! It was all in preparation for my Grandparent's annual Halloween Party. There are costumes, scary but yummy treats, and lots of fun! Annie ended up winning first place! So cool! I'll share how to make them below!

Tytan was Frankenstein, and TyRell was...TyRell black style.

Bristol as Rapunzel and I as Mother Gothel!

(More/better pictures of the kids coming tonight!)

The family!

And the best Olive Oil and Popeye I've ever seen!

Monster Mouths

You'll need green and red apples, peanut butter, candy corn,  marshmallows, and red icing if you want it!
Slice the apples, cover with peanut butter, cut off tips of candy corn, and add some chompers!

Pumpkin Carving

I love carving pumpkins. Growing up my whole family would go to the pumpkin patch (aka WinCo) and each buy a pumpkin. We would then go home and carve all of them. This consisted of us kids drawing an intricate face picture on our pumpkin and Dad carving it out. The end result...the same squares and triangle faces on each pumpkin. We didn't have too many carving skills...but it was the absolute greatest! We loved it!

So, we went to work on our own this year. The kids didn't last too long. Bristol won't touch the innards, and Tytan wanted to eat them. It was pretty funny! The end result, quite the masterpiece!

Candy Only!

I'm not the master mind behind this one, that would be my sister. However, I did make it all by myself and it only took 15 minutes! (You may not be amazed, but for a crafting dummie you should be proud!)

A Halloween Trick or Treat bucket that is too cute to boot! I just can't wait until it's filled with candy!

You'll need:

1 bucket (this was plastic see through, allowing for decorations in and out, with a lid too!)
fun Halloween scrapbook paper
tape/glue/rubber cement etc. anything sticky!

Halloween Fairy

I am dramatically behind on posting, and admit that the blog has been a little boring lately. Hopfully this will change...starting now!

Bristol loved this little stray kitten, unfortunately the next day we had to say goodbye to it...life is too short sometimes. Poor thing.

Bristol was a Halloween Fairy! She was so cute! These pictures scream personality, and she was full of it! (Thanks RyLee for shooting them!) We weren't planning on leaving Logan for Halloween, but the words "Bird Hunting" were spoken once to Ty, and off we went. We had a ton of fun. My Grandparents threw a party that we caught a part of before coming home, so last minute Ty and I thought up some costumes. Ty strapped a baby to his behind and went as a babysitter, and I sported the prego belly fish bowl. (Sorry, no pics.)

All Hallows Eve...What a Bash!

My Grandparents hosted a Halloween party fully put together by Ashley. It was so much fun. The only requirement...we all had to dress up. It was great! We had a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, and treat contest.

Ty and I dressed up in clothes from the early 1900's, Bristol was a pretty pink bunny, Chrissy was M.C. Hammer, Ashley-Amelia Eirheart, Mom-witch, Dad dressed as he always does when we get picked up for our first date, Kate-white trash pregnant mom, Grant-BABY...sick!, Hailey-pirate, and Annie was the entre. What a bunch!

The party was great. Good food, good company, and a great haunted house in the garage...about that. Well, Ashley (If you know Ash, you are already laughing) had a fog machine that she was testing out in our house in the kitchen. Bad idea...the smoke alarm went off. I was napping, the guys were at Cabelas, and my mom just started running around the house in a panic. The phone line was siezed because of the security system, so ADT called my mom's cell phone. She told them not to send the firetruck that we were all ok. Next thing, we hear the sirens coming from the fire station about two city blocks from our house. My mom started crying. So, I ran outside to meet and greet those hefty fire boys ;) adn told them that my mom was too embarrassed and out of her mind to come outside. They all started laughing but had to come in and check everything out anyway. My mom was so embarassed, but they were really nice and got on their way. I guess we will see how nice the bill is?! So, the house was still smoky, so I sent Ash to her room because my mom could hardly talk to any of us. So, we all kinda disappeared in the basement until we heard mom call down "I'm ok now. You can all come back up." What a day, what a day. Nothing is boring when Ashley is around!
