P.S. It was a little bigger and brighter, but this shot is a couple of days after the event.

Bristol Lovin
I have been gettin some Bristol lovin lately! Yes, that is a hickey on my neck, and no it is not from Ty. (His are much bigger, much darker, and always hidden with makeup...) Bristol has been sucking on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING lately, and the other day she was so mad that when she finally calmed down and sucked on my neck, I just let her have at it. Little did I know that I would get a mark! I have another one on my arm too! HA! It is so funny! It's ok though, I love her love marks.

P.S. It was a little bigger and brighter, but this shot is a couple of days after the event.

Bristol is so fun these days! She is getting really good at holding her head up and standing. She can pull herself up from a sitting position to a standing position just by holding on to my fingers. She is doing so good! And best yet, she is getting even more smiley! I love it!

*Note on the outfit. My Auntie Laurie bought this for her that says "I love my Auntie." It is so stinkin cute!

Ashley in INDIA!
Last year my sister Ashley spent just over a month or so in India volunteering at the Rising Star Outreach school for children. She loved it so much that she was promoted to volunteer there again this summer for three months! Although I miss her terribly, I know that she is doing amazing service. The children at the school stay there for nine whole months, and for the remaining three stay with their families in the leprosy colonies. Ashley is in charge of training tutors to help the children with their English, and is also in charge of nightly dinners for the volunteers. Her e-mail is quite slow there, but I recieve an e-mail about once a week from her. She is having an amazing experience! She stays extremely busy, showers with frogs, melts in the heat, and running from monkeys and snakes. She quite likes the excitement! These are not pictures that she has taken, but some for the Rising Star Outreach website. (I know, I probably shouldn't use them....but I love them!)

HELP!
So, I still consider myself a blogging idiot! I can't figure a few things out. If anyone can help me out, I would surely appreciate it!
#1. I hate that poop brown background color. If anyone knows how to change it, let me knwo!
#2. A ton of people have those really fun picture collages where there is more than one picture, some different sizes, all clumped together. I would love to know how to do that!
#3. I was trying to post a new picture under the title at the top, but it won't let me post a big one, just a teeny one. I don't get it!
So, if any of you excellent bloggers could help me out it would be awesome!

This is a picture that RyLee, my brother-in-law, captured over General Conference weekend. I love it! He is so awesome! Bristol is three months old (more like two weeks and six days old)and obviously loving life! She is such a sweet baby, and has brought such a sweet spirit to our home. We love her to pieces!

SKUNKED
Interested in a funny story? Well, it wasn't funny when it happened, but here it goes. My sister Ashley, Bristol, and I were driving back from Boise to Logan last night. We were about five minutes from Logan when the car in front of us hit a skunk, but guess who got the spray? We did. I was reclined in the passenger seat when all of a sudden Ash swirved into the other lane and said "Oh my gosh." I flew up, and she said that we just got sprayed by a skunk. Instantly the car reeked. I started feeling like throwing up. The smell was so bad. When I finally got home Ty told me that both me and the baby reeked like skunk. I was beside myself and ripped all of the babie's clothes off and quickly got her smelling better, and then delt with me. My hair was so bad! Now, our apartment smells like skunk, the outside of our car has skunk oil all over it, and the inside of the car makes me want to barf. It is so bad! Luckily the agriculture department on campus has a solution that will help...so until then! Happy Skunk!

President Monson Pictures
So forever ago I posted that I met the prophet and that I had pictures to prove it. So, for all of you non believers, here they are!

This is my family and I waiting in the conference room. This is the famous room that you see in the Ensign and what not where the First Presidency are photographed.

My dad receiving his award.

A family photo with the Prophet.

Have you ever seen a Joseph Smith nutcracker? You have now! And yes, He is holding the brass plates. Gotta love it!

President Monson giving us a performance on the piano, and telling us stories. He is full of them!

The World of Moms

So, being a mommy is absolutely wonderful. I LOVE IT! However...I am totally exhausted and cry sometimes because I just don't know what to do. Bristol's personality is totally coming out these days! She is not a quiet sleeper. She grunts and groans while she is sleeping which makes me think she is going to wake up all of the time. But she really is a good baby. It just takes some getting used to! Who would have ever thought that what used to take me 10 minutes (like doing the dishes or my makeup) would now take over a 1/2 hour? Nothing can quite prepare you for motherhood, but 'my cup runeth over' with so much joy. I love my little girl! As for more recent pictures-I lost my camera cord. So, the only pics I have on the computer are from Ty's phone. I'm hoping to buy a new cord tomorrow though, so until then!

Labor and Delivery? Try the O.R.

Yes, you guessed it. Bristol Larue came 5 weeks early. I went in for a routine Dr.'s appointment, and they were so concerned about my blood pressure being at 158/108, that two hours later I was recieving a shot in the back and laying on....the operating table. Bristol was still breeched, so I had a C-Section. SCARY! Luckily, I didn't have any time to think about it, so I couldn't be too nervous, but my hands were shaking. Ty and my father in law gave me a sweet blessing right before which I thought about a lot as I could feel the doctors tugging and pulling at my body. BUT, to spare you the gory details, Bristol was born on March 16, 2009! She came out screaming, but has been thus far a very good baby. She spent 8 days in the NICU, but she finally came home today! TyRell and I feel so blessed and are so greatful for the many prayers in our behalf. Bristol is doing better than expected, which I'm confindent has much to do with the blessing that my Dad gave her along with Ty and my father in law soon after birth. She weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was 18.6 inches long. However, her current weight is 5 lbs. 14oz. and one nurse measured her as barely 18 in. long. So, a little controversy on her length, but over all she is a good sized babt for being 5 weeks early!

Bed Rest? YUCK!

SO, my last doctors appointment....not so fun. First, the lab technician tells me via ultra sound that little Bristol has nestled her head right under my ribcage. I thought it was her butt this whole time! So, just start praying she turns! Second, the lab tech informs me that I am at 35 weeks 5 days, but Bristol is measuring at 37 weeks and 2 days, and 6 lbs. 9 oz. She is a big baby already. So, the newest of news is that I will probably not carry full term, or else I'll have about a 10 lb. baby. EEEK! So, with this news I proceed to ask if a nurse can check my blood pressure. 158/98....too high! The doc rushed me up to labor and delivery for some monitoring, and because my blood pressure did not want to come down, I am now a permanent resident on the couch. SO FUN!!! NOT! Lets just hope that this doesn't last too much longer! I do have some good news, little Bristol has hair! YES! We could actually see it in the ultra sound!

Hawaii
Finally! Here are some much anticipated pictures of Hawaii...I know you have all been waiting...LOL! As flattering as some people may think that pregnant girls are in bathing suits, I must say that I was pretty camera shy, sorry. After a long flight, I had KANKLES....yes, true blue kankles. It was pretty ugly. However, Hawaii was a blast and I am so proud of Ty for working so hard last summer to earn the trip. He put in a lot of hours, and it paid off! The weather in Hawaii wasn't the greatest (rain every day) but we did get in some good beach time and had a blast at the PCP!

Hunting Season...
As much as Ty would LOVE this statement to be true, HUNTING SEASON NEVER ENDS! Seriously, there is always something to hunt, and always guns to shoot. I must say that being pregnant has raised my irritability toward guns. I don't like them right now...which might change after hormone levels come down a bit. Lets just say I don't like them laying around the house. However, I must admit that I am glad that my hubby has hobbies, and at least they are manly ones! :) Ty has been bird hunting lately with my dad and some buddies from Boise. Great Fun!

Everything Seems to be NEW!
So, without the internet at our apartment, I have been so bad at posting new information! I miss the blogging world, TRUST ME! AND~ now that I'm on my parent's computer, I have no pictures to post. SO, once again I promise that one day I will post some pictures!
Christmas break was awesome! Ty and I spent a week in Oakley, and then a week in Boise. Followed by an awesome week in HAWAII! Being pregnant and in Hawaii was pretty good, except for the swollen ankles from the flight, everything was great! My maternity bathing suit actually fit (which Ty said would be too big when I bought it) so he has a few things to learn about pregnancies. :) In Hawaii we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, followed by a few different beaches, and the Temple (closed for renovation on the inside). We had tons of fun!
Getting back into school for Ty this semester hasn't been too much fun. With all of his classes on Tuesday and Thursday, it seems that the week goes by too fast! I decided not to take a job teaching because Bristol comes in April! SO, baby preparations are slow, but they are coming along! As far as the baby, she is very active and healthy! We had a little scare when I started having contractions and had to go into labor and delivery for some monitoring, but everything is ok and I've been told to be a "couch potatoe," so I'm not on strict bed rest, but I've been too active apparently. I thought I was doing great with my daily workouts, but I guess the body can't handle too much anymore! Gotta stay in shape for waterski season!
Last week my family and Ty and I drove down to SLC to...meet the Prophet! YES! It was fantastic! My dad won the "Gordon B. Hinckley" award last year, but with His passing, we met with President Monson instead to see my dad recieve the award. We spent a whole hour in the conference room and touring the Prophet's office. It was great, and I will for sure post some pictures once we get them from the photographer!

BABY NEWS/GRADUATION!
IT'S A GIRL! Yes, Ty and I are going to be having a little girl, Bristol Larue! We are so excited! Over Thanksgiving break we went in for an ultrasound and were able to check her little body out and watch her for about a half hour. It was so precious. Bristol was very active, so it was fun to see her stretch, twist and turn, yawn, and even hiccup. She is darling!
On the 13th of December I graduated! The day was quite eventful. I woke up in the morning to a white out in Logan. This would have been no big deal, but you see... USU has some crazy tradition which I'm sure is a blast in the spring, but in December it was the dumbest thing that I have ever done. I guess that it will make for good memories. The graduates, in cap and gown, walk for the Fieldhouse to the Spectrum...about a 5-7 minute walk. There was quite a bit of snow outside, it was still snowing hard, and the wind was blowing. (So much for curling my hair!) Luckily I had two steady companions to keep me from slipping down the hill on the snow. Thanks Val and Josh! My whole family, Ty, and my in-laws were there cheering me on which made it fun! I had to focus though so as not to slip down the ramp while getting my diploma, i've become quite clumsy with my center of gravity changing. Some say that it is stupid to "walk," but I must say that it made for great memories. After the ceremony we all went to lunch, and for graduation my parents gave me a banjo!!!! YES! I was so excited! Best graduation ever! Thanks to all of my study buddies and friends for getting me through these 4 years of college! The support was greatly appreciated!
P.S. I have some great pics, but I'll get those out later!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

TyRell and I gathered with his side of the family at Kent and Sheri's (Ty's aunt and uncle). There were about 30 of us there, but there wasn't too much noise or commotion when the food was served! The turkey and mashed potatoes were awesome, and of course the pies were delicious! Don't worry, even being pregnant and hungry all of the time, I'm not just thankful for food! Life wouldn't be life at all without my Ty, I am so thankful for him and all he does! He will make an awesome daddy and we are both so grateful to be blessed with being able to start our family. (Which reminds me that we will be finding out what "baby" is tomorrow thanks to Raychel, Ty's cousin, who does ultra sounds for work!) We hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving feast!
Thanksgiving Preparations
Ty and I spent Thanksgiving in Oakley this year, which meant a ton of pie baking. I've never really done too much pie baking, so it was good to get some experience under my belt! These are a couple of the many! I must say however that I can't really take any credit for these pies...I just put them in the oven. But I really did make some others!

These are some place settings that we made. They turned out so cute!

Nauvoo Reunion!
I am so excited because tomorrow I am going to a Nauvoo Reunion! In the Fall of 2005 we all met in Nauvoo, Il. to study Church History. I am so excited to see all of my beloved friends again! It has been a long time since I have seen many of them, and there are too many changes happening in every one's lives to keep track of. There are tons of guys and gals who have gone on missions, tons of marriages, and a few kids too! Time sure does fly!

We Are Back!
Well, I'm sorry to say that with moving back to Logan, school starting and not having the internet at our apartment, I have gotten pretty lazy at posting! I'm sorry! So, here is what's up! Ty has a pretty rough schedule continuing with his accounting program, although none of his classes start until about two hours after I have left for school! He has been getting some fishing in which makes up for the hard classes. I am doing my student teaching at Millville Elementary in the Life Skills (SpEd) classroom, which has been a lot of fun. We bought new furniture! We LOVE it to death! The couches are perfect for my afternoon naps, and Ty can't seem to get away from the recliner...men....! Well, thats all for now, more later!

TyRell's Mission in Mexico! SURPRISE!
TyRell surprised me with a trip to Mexico to see his mission. I thought that we were going to a resort up in the mountains, but figured it out about 10 minutes before we crossed the border where we were going....there were no mountains around! It was ssssooooo hot there! But so much fun. I loved seeing parts of his mission and meeting a couple of the families. Here are some pics. More later!
This is the first family that we visited, the Zuno family. Graciella and I would sit and chat what we could, and Ty would talk to the whole family and translate for me. They are a great family. Brother Zuno is the 1st counselor in the bishopbric, and Graciella was just released as Relief Society President. They attend the temple once a month. They have four sons, three which Ty baptized also. Their youngest goes to the temple once a week to do baptisms. I couldn't always understand what they were talking about, but my eyes were wet the whole time because I could tell that they were talking about the gospel. The spirit was so strong!

This is a family that TyRell baptized on his mission. They live in Mexicali. It took Ty about 8 months to baptize Guadelupe, the mom, and Jorje the son. The daughter was not old enough, so she was baptized later. I love them!

A home near Ty's apartment in Tijuana. This home is actually larger than most there, but they pretty much look this way. Very humbling.

This is the view from our hotel in Rosarito. It was beautiful. The swimming pool sat right on the cliff side, and the restaraunt that we ate by canlde light at sat rigth on the ocean as well. It was beautiful!

TyRell and I at the "La Bufadora" on a penninsula in Mexico. La Bufadora means "Sea Blowhole." The water would shoot up between a crack in the cliffside and shoot the water in the air! It was beautiful!

Main Salmon River Fun!
It has been a while since I've gotten on here, and these next few posts will be a little out of order, but here is the new news! Every year my family goes on a week long river trip with our cousins, the Laws, and some family friends and my sisters in-laws the Hughes. It is great fun, and we all look forward to it so much! TyRell couldn't come because of some work committments, so I flew to Boise on my own and packed for the trip while my dad was in Canada. On Sunday the 27th of August we piled in the cars and drove seven hours to North Fork Idaho, and on the 28th put on the river for the next six days! We had so much fun! There were a few bumps in the road...literally....so much that there were two flat tires, a few mishaps in some of the rapids, but overall we were really blessed with our safety. There were six rafts, two katarafts, and nine rubber duckies. We took up a long portion of the river! The sandy beach campsights were beautiful and relaxing! Here are some pictures from along the way!

These are all of the rafts gathering after going through the rapid "Salmon Falls." It was awesome! I love the white water!

This is the whole family minus Ty.

This is Annie and I on our second to last day on the river....just before I threw her in the river!
